Belated blog....we're in!!!

This is a much overdue update.  We moved in the week before Christmas.  Everything has been a whirlwind until now.  Things are finally settling down and we are completely moved in.  We are still waiting for some furniture that we have ordered, but have almost every room unpacked.  We're trying to work on cabinets/desk for the office.  Hopefully we can get all of that ordered soon.  Here are some updated pics now that we are moved in.  I put a lot on here so you can get the full effect.  There is always an open invitation for anyone that wants to come visit.  We have more than enough room.  We hope to have a big open house soon!!

Looking out the master bedroom window.
 Barnwood with reading lights.
Antique vanity and hutch with walk in shower and antique claw foot tub.
Kirk can catch up on the games while in the shower.
 Walk in closet in master.
Curved railing in the great room.
See through fireplace in great room/Kirk's office.  Handmade mantel by Jesse Benedict.
View of the great room from the dining room.  Patiently waiting for our slate gray leather couch to arrive.
Dining room with the outside porch/outside fireplace place in the background.  We found a dining room table that has been in Kirk's family for years that needs to be stripped and brought back to it's original beauty.  We hope to start working on it soon!
View of the kitchen from the dining room.
Outside porch with wood burning fireplace.
Kitchen with built in table in island/
Kirk made me the chalkboard for our kitchen.
View of the kitchen from the foyer hallway.
Custom made butcher block top by Jesse Benedict.  All it has is a coating of beeswax.  Beautiful!

Barn door that closes off mudroom from kitchen.  Barn door made by Jesse Benedict.
Doggie shower, already has been put to good use!
Powder room, vanity made by Jesse Benedict.

Kaleb's room with his one of a kind blue hardwood flooring.
Kaleb's room shares a loft with the other kids' room.  No access yet, but will have it someday.

 Kaleb's shower.
Future kids' bathroom, right now just an extra bathroom.
 Stairwell with antique barn wood.
These pictures don't do the barn wood justice.
One of my favorite aspects of the house.
 Media room downstairs...minus furniture.
Other side of media room.  Hopefully we will have a bar someday.  The door leads to Kirk's gun room.
Kaleb's play room.  He loves it!

  1. Your home is stunning! How are the whisper brown floors holding up? We are purchasing these for our brand-new home and the reviews for this floor are not good at all. The floors are absolutely beautiful!

  3. Barn wood on foyer wall paneling... what company did you buy the wood from? Nailed up? Glued? Love the color and width of the panels. Company name?

  4. My Testimony Hello everyone. Am here to testify how I got my loan from Mr. Benjamin Lee after I applied several times from various loan lenders who promised to help but they never gave me the loan. Until a friend of mine introduced me to Mr. Benjamin Lee promised to help me and indeed he did as he promised without any delay.I never thought there are still reliable loan lenders until I met Mr. Benjamin Lee, who indeed helped with the loan and changed my belief. I don't know if you are in any way in need of a genuine and urgent loan, Be free to contact Mr. Benjamin Lee via
