Very exciting!

Here are some pictures of things that they completed this week:

This island will have a butcher block top made by our contractor, Jesse Benedict.
All cabinets are installed except for the trim/crown molding.
So excited to be cooking meals on this stove.  They also added barn wood to cover the exhaust at the top.  Super nice touch!
The barn wood is complete in the stairwell.
Almost all of the doors have been installed upstairs.
The accent wall in the foyer has be finished with barn wood.
The barn wood just needs a final coat of white wash in the master bedroom.
This is the granite that will be installed on the antique buffet for the master bath vanity.  It's called Furacan Bordeaux.
This is the granite that will be installed in the kitchen.  It's called Waterfall.
They have installed the flooring in one of the kids bedrooms.  It's called Ash Black by Nydree.

Kitchen cabinets

It's no secret that the pride and joy of our house has been designing the kitchen and everything that goes into it.  We are very fortunate that we have such large families that love to come together to enjoy laughter and good food.  That's why the kitchen was so important to us because most family gatherings occur right in the kitchen!  We got our kitchen cabinets from Brookwood Cabinetry from Directbuy.  They aren't all installed but here's a sneak peak of what they have installed so far.  Keep in mind that they are far from finished.  The color of the cabinets are marshmallow with chocolate glazing.

A bit overdue...

It seems like every day there is something to do up at the house, order/pick something, etc.  Things are really moving along!  Currently they are putting up the antique barn wood on the main floor, painting, laying the floor in the kitchen and working on the showers/bathtubs.  Next week's plan is to install the kitchen cabinets, finish painting the upstairs, flooring and tiling of the bathrooms.  We're still crossing our fingers that we will be able to cook Thanksgiving dinner in our new home.  The guys are working hard so hopefully there won't be any set backs.  Here are some updated pictures:

Ceiling fans installed in the great room.  Of course, our luck would have one globe broken when we opened the box.
Chandelier in the great room foyer.
Coffered ceiling in the dining room.
Completed ceiling on the screened porch.
Looking down the hallway towards the kids' bedrooms.
 Ceiling fan in master bedroom.
All the siding completed in the back minus the decking and stone.
